Planning concrete footings
Rectangular footing volume is length × width × depth. For round piers, use π × radius² × depth. Multiply by the number of identical footings, convert to cubic yards, and add waste.
Practical considerations
Footing width, depth, reinforcement, bearing area, and frost protection are structural and code questions. Never size a footing from a volume calculator alone. Verify utilities, soil, loads, frost depth, inspection, and permit requirements locally.

Measure inside the forms or excavation. For post holes, sample actual diameters and depths because augered holes vary. The calculator accepts feet, inches, mixed feet and inches, meters, and centimeters.
